Acknowledging each part of the textile production process and the lives involved.

The Textile Care Collective was started to offer inspiration and a model for what to wear.

Aims
· To create a brand through which people can recognise each process behind the production of commodities and its value
· To highlight fulfilling ways of working
· To link growers, makers and users
· Elucidate the link between soil and textiles
· To reveal the labour conditions behind commodity production
· To explore the possibility of setting up a cooperative after pilot project
· To fundraise for care structures that work with women, the homeless and refugees.

The lives involved
In a place-based approach, we will be working with local alpaca and wool to source fleece for spinning, kitting and natural dyes. All sourced locally and accounting for the time and effort involved. We seek to be transparent and highlight the effort put into these items.
